Our Approach

We believe in fostering a deep understanding of Chinese across all proficiency levels ‐ basic, intermediate, and advanced. Our goal extends beyond exam‐oriented teaching to nurturing genuine language mastery applicable in communication, academics, and everyday life. Language acquisition demands consistent exposure and expert guidance, especially when natural language environments are unavailable.

Unlike other subjects, Chinese language learning requires a focus on grammar and sentence structure, areas where non‐na ve speakers struggle. In most instances, educators in schools u lize immersive teaching techniques, directing students on what to memorize without offering explanations for the reasons behind it.

Consequently, when students struggle to keep up, they can quickly find themselves in a state of confusion. How should we address these circumstances? Don’t worry; we are here to help. We understand that students seek deeper insights into language concepts, and we provide the platform for such engagement.

Chinese B HL is comparable to IGCSE Chinese as a second language, whereas Chinese B SL is comparatively less challenging. Attaining a grade of 6 or 7 necessitates adept handling of concepts through active engagement, articulate and fluent speaking, precise use of diverse and idiomatic vocabulary, and crafting essays spanning 300-480 words with a high degree of grammatical precision and intricate structures. For students with limited or no background in Chinese, we recommend our Pre-IBDP Chinese program or IGCSE Chinese as a foreign language program to adequately prepare for the examination. Our Pre-IBDP Chinese Program is specifically tailored for students commencing their Chinese learning journey in middle or junior high school. It emphasizes listening and conversational proficiency, comprehension and recognition of Chinese characters, grammar, sentence construction, and progression to structured writing.|

Chinese A is designed for native speakers with a solid foundation in Chinese and an interest in literature. Chinese B focuses more on language acquisition with minimal literature involvement.

Chinese is spoken widely across the world, particularly in Asia. It is a beautiful language with a rich historical background. Its grammar is relatively straightforward, and its pronunciation carries a musical and artistic quality. Learning the Chinese language not only facilitates a quicker understanding of other Asian languages but also enhances career prospects and personal development. Additionally, Singapore stands out as one of the best countries offering a conducive environment for learning Chinese.
