The Integrated Programme (IP) is Singapore's direct route from secondary school into the IB Diploma. Students at ACS (Independent), Methodist Girls' School (MGS), St. Joseph's Institution (SJI), and SOTA skip the O-Levels entirely and progress through six years of school-designed curriculum before sitting the IB Diploma Programme exams in Years 5 and 6.

The IP's structural challenge is the absence of an external exam before IB DP. There is no O-Level, no IGCSE, no external benchmark to tell a student — or parent — honestly where they stand relative to global standards. Some IP students arrive at IB Year 1 discovering for the first time that their foundations are not as solid as their IP grades suggested. Early external tuition with real IB DP questions prevents this from being a surprise.

IP internal grades feel meaningful but don't always correlate with IB DP performance. The shock of IB Year 1 is real for some IP students. We use real IB DP past papers from IP Year 3 to provide the external standard IP can't.
Each IP school designs its own curriculum. The alignment to IB DP content is generally strong at ACS(I) and SJI — but some topics are covered differently in IP than IB examiners expect. Our tutors know both sides.
IP feels manageable. IB DP Year 1 moves faster, demands more independent reasoning, and introduces IA work that requires skills IP doesn't explicitly assess. Students who treat IB Year 1 as a continuation of IP are often caught out.

IP Maths at ACS(I), MGS and SJI is designed to lead into IB DP — the school's teachers are aware of IB requirements. However, without an external benchmark, some students reach IB Year 1 with foundations that feel solid in the IP context but are tested more rigorously in IB DP. Our IP tuition uses real IB DP questions from the IP years so there are no surprises in Year 11.
Group IP tuition is $480 for 4 lessons per month (1.5 hours each, max 4 students). 1-to-1 is $600 for 4 lessons. Fees are prorated, no hidden charges.
IP Year 3 or 4 (equivalent to Secondary 3–4) is the ideal time to start — two to three years before IB DP begins. This gives enough time to build strong foundations and introduce IB-style assessment practice progressively. Starting in IP Year 4 is still valuable, especially with targeted focus on identified gaps.
All four Singapore IP schools — ACS(I), MGS, SJI and SOTA — sit IB DP examinations in the November session, not May. This is different from most Singapore international schools which sit in May. It means IP students should use November past papers for preparation, and the May–June holiday in their final year is the ideal intensive revision window before October examinations begin.

Students who arrive at Year 11 already benchmarked against IB standards are significantly better prepared than those who start tuition only when school begins.
